REVIEWS FROM ST-PETERSBURG (Russia)

1. Ptashnikov Gennadi Juryevich

Since 1990 I’ve been seriously engaged in kung-fu. Before, like many others, I went in for judo and karate. I has taken lessons by teacher Nguen Viet Hung of the school Thieu Lam Lam Son. But it came so, that master let up teaching and moved to Moscow. I’ve started to look for school with clear teaching methods and inner content. There’s too much “water” around and it’s not easy to find a deserving school with qualified masters. By a chance in Internet I came upon a school Hong-Gia La Phu Son and teacher Bezrukavy E.V. – pupil of the Grandmaster Li Hong Tai, who had been taught in Minsk , Belarus. I wrote him a letter and was very surprised by getting answer practically immediately (usually you need to wait a long time before the answer comes). I got interested in this school at once and decided to start with classes from the outset (many of the so-called “masters” believe, that they had achieved everything and learning from the outset by someone is beneath their dignity). Actually it’s rather difficult to communicate per e-mail and telephone, and I arranged with Eugene about meeting in Minsk. His goodwill was really amazing, he devoted me, a stranger, the whole day. Practically in two months Eugene had proposed to carry out a seminar in Hong-Gia La Phu Son in Saint-Petersburg.

This thing also surprised me, because our classes have started a short time ago. Seminar was carried out since 8 th till 10 th Mai. Some people came here alert – there were too many so-called “Masters” and “Teachers” around us. But the circumspection has scattered as they heard first words and saw first movements of Eugene. Actually he represents very unique culture of movements and a perfect ability to explain the technique. Eugene knows well how to warm up audience, to pass over his energy. I believe, that everybody, who attended his classes and socialized, felt the same, and it doesn’t matter, whether they would or not be engaged in this school, more important is that everybody has drawn upon something useful for oneself. Subject for pity was our weather, and we didn’t manage to show Eugene St. Petersburg (in addition we hadn’t enough time for it). After this seminar my pupils and I, we took an examination for basic levels. We passed with honors.

Eugene has provided us with a good amount of information and we have to work hard further.

I’d like to express my thanks to Eugene Bezrukavy for his responsiveness and for the excellent seminar.

I’d like also to wish him luck at this hard way of kung fu teaching.

Luck and thanks once again! Grigoryev Anatoliy and Baranov Andrey share my wishes.

Looking forward to see you again in St.Petersburg.

2. Yazenko Svetlana

Hello!

I’m engaged in martial arts for many years. And I have been looked for ages for a system, which would correspond to a genuine Wushu, not only from a standpoint of external work, but of an internal one too. As our teacher came from Minsk, I realized at once that the school he brought us, is not a simply one, I warmed toward and started to work. Lately Evgeny came himself and carried out a seminar. Sure, it’s not a bad idea to work with videocassettes, but the seminar is a quite different thing. We were working overcharged three days, we got to know lots of new, corrected our errors, took an examination and stayed under the great impression. As a psychologist, I was surprised how immensely, in a mental and spiritual way, the personality is developing by training inside of this system. I have noticed often, how people waste time and strength for achieving at least the smallest part of all these things, which are to be reached easy by means of this school. Sure, your heart and soul have to be put in, but any efforts are worth this possibility of self-cultivation.

So, this school really deserves great admiration, and I could still more express it, but I just know, that I’ve found finally, what I was looking for ages, and now I’m ready to work quietly and gradually, what I’ve actually have longed for in my life.

Thank you and all the best!

3. Andrey Boyarov, 15

Hello, my name is Andrey Boyarov. I’ve been engaged in kung fu for 7 years. At the beginning of May, 2005, I visited a seminar, which Evgeny Vladimirovich Bezrukavy has carried out, here in St.Petersburg. I’d like to express my thanks for this fascinating presentation. Before I have practiced only an external kung fu style and I was interested in new methods of this school Hong-Gia La Phu Son. Of special interest are these Chi-kong exercises. I`m going to continue my kung fu classes and looking forward to another coming of Evgeny Vladimirovich.

This seminar has come as a surprise for me, because before we hadn’t attended seminars of such level. The information, we have got, had enriched our knowledge and broadened understanding of kung-fu world. I’d like to thank kindly all masters of the school Hong-Gia La Phu Son in the person of Evgeny Bezrukavy for help and support.
